I became an artist late in life. When Covid started I bought paint materials and my home morphed into a studio. Although I had been painting intermittently, my selection for the Basic Income for Arts scheme, allowed me to immerse myself full time in painting. Throughout my life I have travelled extensively, living for periods in New York, Dakar, London, Brussels, and Mexico City, and my work reflects these experiences.

I have shown my work at the National College of Art and Design (NCAD) summer show 2023, and at a show titled AdieuLeafyIdyll in Mount Merrion 2023. My work is included in the winter exhibitions 2025 at The Hallows Gallery, Belfast and at Hambly and Hambly, Enniskillen.

The geometry and musical vibrancy of urban life is examined in this abstract series (Urbis Harmonia/The Architecture of Stillness), in the rhythmical repetition of urban patterns, the dialogue of colours, and in the persistence of symmetry. The polychromatic palette is calm and earthy, while the hard edges soften, allowing the viewer to enter into a quiet meditative state. The works confront the dissonance and visual chaos of the contemporary urban experience. Ultimately the coherence of form and colour in reimagining urban dynamics, hints at a more utopian order.

For me art is turning away from the perceived world and travelling inwards.

I currently live between Dublin and Mexico City.
